a poem inspired by Samantha Lotti
Here you go. It’s raining.
A leaf you under a tree you stand
Drops of rain circle and round on
tip top of your tail they stay.
They stay you stay, and
“Here you go!”
“Go, take it, just take it.”
But it is raining my dear. You stare.
What I’ve been told (while your paws get cold)
‘If you don’t hold
“Whatever, do whatever you want. Wannanut?”
You wiggle and squeakle
Snail down from your tail; circle drop pops!
Nut drops, butt mopped!
Leaf nods, tree cropped!
Stubborn Squirrel Shot Wall TOP!
